Mum, Dad and The Boy are almost ready for the big Moving In Day. So, since the weather was looking good for a change, they decided to use their National Trust membership cards to revisit Penrhyn Castle near Bangor. Mum was looking forward to taking some pictures on her posh camera as she only had her phone last time!
The Family thought it was a grand day for walking about in the grounds of the castle instead of looking at the opulent rooms inside.
The beautiful view towards Llanfairfechan and the Great Orme.
This cheeky chap was most obliging when Mum approached with her camera.
Penrhyn Castle under a mottled sky.
Nearing the entrance. What a shame about that cone!
Model trains at the steam museum.
The Boy is less eager about trains these days, but he still enjoys looking at the engines.
Nearing the Chapel Garden. The chapel turned out to be...well, just a bit of a wall.
Great fun was had in the Walled Garden. The ponds were very clear and were full of life.
Hunting for pondlife.
A teeny, tiny frog.
A dragonfly, a fine meal for a group of hungry water boatmen.
The bumblebees were busy as always.
Dad was a bit disappointed that the Bog Garden was closed for maintenance. It looked really interesting!
A fuchsia tunnel.
Another view of the castle. The grounds were lovely for walking in.
A much tidier looking Boy who Mum can't call Mr Mopatop anymore. He looks much smarter with all that hair chopped off!
After a thoroughly enjoyable walk around the grounds of Penrhyn Castle, The Family heading over to Conwy for sandwiches and a treat ice cream from Parisella's. No photos of those though since Mum was still eating her sandwich when the boys had finished their ice creams. She's such a slowpoke!
